These terms govern membership of the club and bookings for its events. Tours are governed by separate booking conditions, issued with the pre-contract information before any tour is booked.
Valenza Privé Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. Its registered office and company number appear at the foot of every page and on every invoice. In these terms, “the club”, “we” and “us” mean Valenza Privé Ltd, and “you” means a member, applicant or guest.
Membership is by application and at the discretion of the directors. Membership is free: there is no joining fee and no annual subscription. The club has published that a subscription of £100 a year will begin on 1 January 2029.
Membership is personal and cannot be transferred. It continues until it is resigned by the member or terminated by the club. Where a subscription becomes payable, membership will run for twelve months from each renewal date and will renew on payment of it.
The directors may decline an application without giving reasons, and may terminate a membership where a member’s conduct is, in their reasonable judgement, damaging to the club, its members or the places it visits. Where membership is terminated by the club for any reason other than misconduct, any unexpired part of a subscription then in force is refunded.
Club nights, experience days and the club’s other single-day events are just that. They do not include travel or accommodation, and are not packages within the meaning of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. Places are confirmed on payment and are non-refundable, though a place may be transferred to a named guest with our agreement.
Tours organised by the club are package holidays. Each tour is sold under separate booking conditions which we provide, together with the information required by law, before you commit to a booking. Those conditions set out the price, what it includes, the deposit and balance dates, the cancellation charges, how your money is held in the club’s trust account, and the club’s responsibility for the tour as a whole.
Every payment you make towards a tour is held in the club's designated trust account, separate from the club's own money, until the day the tour departs. If you cancel, the cancellation charges in the booking conditions apply; a place may instead be transferred to another member, on the terms set out there.
You bring your own vehicle, and you are responsible for it. You must hold motor insurance valid for every country the tour visits, including cover for your passenger and for the vehicle itself, and be able to produce it on request. The club does not insure members’ vehicles, and nothing in these terms makes it responsible for damage to them.
Nothing organised by the club is timed, scored, ranked or competitive in any respect. There are no set departure or arrival times beyond those needed to keep a hotel table, no leaderboard and no penalty for stopping. Any member who treats a tour as a race will be asked to leave it, without refund.
You must drive lawfully and courteously at all times, in a vehicle that is roadworthy and legal in every country visited, and you must comply with any local requirements such as vignettes, emissions stickers and winter equipment. We produce an extensive checklist before every tour to help you ensure every base is covered.
The club is private, and its members expect discretion. Names, photographs and details of members and guests are not to be published or shared outside the club without that person’s consent. The club applies the same rule to itself: we do not publish a member’s name or image without written consent.
Photographs and film are taken at events and on tours for the club’s own records and, with consent, for its publications. When you book a tour you will be asked whether the club may publish images in which you can be recognised; a member may also say so on their profile. Without that agreement, no image in which you can be recognised is published, and any image of you is deleted if you ask.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Our responsibility for the proper performance of a tour is set out in that tour’s booking conditions. For other events, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the event.
The garage in the members’ area is provided free, for your own convenience, and is used at your own risk. Dates, reminders, figures, service schedules and anything read from your paperwork or taken from the DVLA, the DVSA or published sources are a guide only, and may be incomplete, late or wrong. Check anything that matters, such as an MOT, tax or insurance date, a recall or a service interval, with the authority, your insurer or your garage. Your vehicle, its paperwork and its legal requirements remain your responsibility, and a reminder that is late, wrong or never arrives does not change that. Keep your own copies of anything you upload.
Subject to the Liability section above, we accept no responsibility for any loss arising from your use of the garage or from relying on what it shows.
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes apply from the next renewal of your membership and do not affect a booking already confirmed.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Tour booking conditions and the prescribed pre-contract information for each tour are issued separately and take precedence over these terms for that tour. The trust account your payments are held in is named in those conditions.
